Well, it took a while, but it finally got hairy. Let me rephrase this…hairy in a fun and cool way. May I introduce to you a pillow with a face, or should I better say with a personality? What do you guys think? Is he the kinda pillow that enjoys to sleep in in the morning or get up early but still likes to nap? Would a pillow fight excite him? Or does a afternoon in bed with Yoko and john sound better? So many questions to ask. 

 

Dear frustration, leave me alone!

Here is the deal, at the moment I am incapable of finding any decent fabric. It’s not like I haven’t been looking for it…actually I have looked quite a lot. Just two days ago I walked all over Cologne just to find something new and fun (I even printed out a map of fabric stores in Cologne…I’m never prepared like that…), in the end I did not find a single store and my feet were sore. 

 

What am I going to do? Maybe sob a little bit? Or just give up?

That’s what I’m going to do, I will continue searching. February 25 there will be a gigantic/enormous fabric market in Oberhausen (hopefully). In the mean while I’ll keep checking my usual spots. This reminds me…a few of weeks ago I bought a couple yards of fabric at the Maastricht market and it turned out to be the worst fabric I have ever bought. Let me tell you this, I was SO disappointed! I hid the fabric under a pile of things I usually never touch, otherwise I would feel discouraged to continue sewing.  

Mhh, what else is there to say? I guess good night for now :)

Getting back on the horse

I feel nervous, I haven’t sewn in …(let me think)…5 days. I have this really neat idea, but for now, all I’m going to say is, it’s gonna get hairy. My fingers are all tingly for excitement.

so, there was this owl that I saw on the urban outfitters web page that I really liked (due to legal reasons, I removed it). Now it's up to your imagination, try and figure out how the original looked like :P

Projects

As you can probably see, I like to sew. At the moment I love creating new ideas for pillows. It is lots of fun bringing new ideas to life. Often I see nice things (such as pillows) that I instantly fall in love with,

but unfortunately a ridiculously high price will bring an end to this love. Therefor I have decided to start making them myself and taking matters into my own hands.
